For those looking to avoid mundane gym workouts, Charleston fitness offers something very different. It’s suitable for people of all levels of fitness and the classes provide a total body workout, working legs, arms and core. It’s all done to music that is so infectious, that you won’t realise you’re burning up to 500 calories an hour. It is a high-intensity, dance cardio exercise programme and is a way of getting people dancing their way to fitness, no partner is required or any dance experience, as Nicky builds the foundation of dance steps week by week with new dance routines.

Brockworth Community Centre, Court Rd, Brockworth, Gloucester GL3 4ET - 1-2pm - £6 per class
Wednesdays, NEW VENUE Witcombe and Bentham village hall, Pillcroft Rd, Witcombe, Gloucester GL3 4TB
8-9 pm - £6 per class
The curator and visionary of Charleston fitness is International dancer and dance instructor/choreographer Nicky Key, she has traveled both teaching and performing swing dance’s from the jazz family of the 20’s, 30’s, & 40’s for the last 25 years. She has been in numerous video’s, worked with some of the “Strictly team” and appears in/contributed to Dragons Den’s Winner, Scott Cupit’s book “Swing Dancing” performing at for the book launch at Londons prestigious and oldest music hall “Wiltons Music Hall”
